The three pound supercomputer balanced above our necks is quite good at detecting and fixing errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. But it's speed would not allow us to handle the thousands of sentences submitted to us each day. Fortunately, our automated grammar checking system does a pretty good job too. Combining the latest advancements in AI, NLP, and Machine Learning, our sentence corrector gives you the confidence you need when composing your sentence. Texts are evaluated against statistical language models in much the same way humans evaluate a sentence against all the examples they've encountered in years of reading and listening to language.
Linguists have defined many categories of errors in syntax and morphology and each type may be discovered and fixed by Sentence Corrector. That's not to say that it is 100% accurate. It just means that it can tackle any type of error. With that said, it does a better job with some errors than others. Owing to its neural network architecture, it tends to spot and fix issues much more similar to a human than to a machine learning model. It tends to do quite well with missing articles, wrong verb forms, subject verb agreement, capitalization, spelling, most punctuation, and wrong word errors. Other areas where it is proficient, but perhaps not yet distinguished include comma splices, run on sentences, some types of punctuation errors, and wrong preposition errors.
Find any errors in our correction algorithms? If so, we want to know! Every issue you report to us is an opportunity for us to retrain our models. The way we see it, we are a team working together to create the best free grammar and spelling checker on the planet. So please send us any bugs you find along with any feedback. We would love to hear from you.
